The World is Changed.

"The world is changed. I feel it in the water. I feel it in the earth. I smell it in the air"

This is the opening quotation from one of my favorite movies – J.R.R Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings. It is also an apt description of what is taking place in Enterprise IT as we have passed a tipping point in cloud adoption in the Enterprise. A recent survey* of 509 IT managers were asked to estimate what percent of their applications, data and/or infrastructure were cloud based. While we all know that workloads are going to the cloud, the pace and impact of this change is larger and broader than many imagined.

That being said, we realize our customers want choice. For some customers, they want or have corporate mandates that demand running the software on-premise, but for more and more of our customers the ability to have their Seal Contracts Discovery and Analytics platform run in a secure and protected cloud environment is the desired deployment model for them. With this in mind, a couple years ago Seal introduced the Seal Cloud Services (SCS) offering. SCS is a fully managed offering of the Seal platform, providing complete managed physical infrastructure and Seal platform and application level services.

Customers desire Cloud Services for a couple broad reasons:

  • Cost Savings & Ease of Operation: No capital outlays, no need to hire staff to manage the infrastructure and Seal platform. Let the Seal experts run Seal for you. We focus on what we do best and allow you to focus on your core competencies.
  • Business Agility: The elastic nature of cloud computing allows us to scale as your business needs grow and to tune the infrastructure to align with the lifecycle of an application.
  • Quick Realization of Value: You get to skip to the front of the line and not wait behind the inevitable backlog of your IT department’s list of new projects. With rapid provisioning Seal is deployed and the team is working in days vs. weeks or months. Also, because your upgrades are performed by Seal, you are able to fully realize all of the new features that are being delivered by Seal during the term of your subscription.

Lastly, Seal Cloud Services is built on top of the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) which allows Seal to inherit many of the great platform security features built in – like 256-bit Advanced Encryption Standard (AES-256), 99.999999999% data durability, intrusion detection and all of the various ISO and SOC certifications you would expect from a tier one provider.

It’s no surprise that we at Seal are seeing tremendous growth in our overall business and also in the decision of our customers to choose Seal Cloud Services as their deployment model. If you are interested in learning more I would love to talk with you!
